Our award-winning, traditional Welshcakes (or Pice ar y maen in Welsh!) are a delicious, moist and soft cake made with currants and sultanas. They are best described as a cross between a scone and a pancake but are truly unique when it comes to their taste and texture. Our Welshcakes are made with the best quality ingredients to a traditional farmhouse recipe with no additives, preservatives or added salt. They are cooked on a large griddle and much of our baking is still done by hand.
